About the Health Service
This health service is a leading provider of paediatric and neonatal care, offering acute and inpatient treatment for a wide range of clinical conditions. Serving as the referral hub for the Banana Shire, the department is equipped to manage respiratory support for newborns and stabilisation for infants under 35 weeks gestation, with tertiary support easily accessible through Retrieval Services Queensland (RSQ).

Position Details
As a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist in Paediatrics, you will:

• Provide high-quality clinical services to paediatric and neonatal patients.
• Collaborate with Junior Medical staff to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.
• Support the clinical needs of facilities across the region as part of an integrated health service.

Job Details:

• Fixed-term, full-time position.
• Salary: $210,332 - $266,677 per annum, depending on experience.
• Contract duration: 24 March 2025 - 20 July 2025.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• MBBS or equivalent, with eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP - Paediatrics and Child Health) or equivalent.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated expertise in paediatric and neonatal care.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence and teamwork.
• Participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs.
