About the Health Service

Our client, a leader in Women's and Children's Health Services, provides comprehensive paediatric and neonatal care in a cutting-edge facility. The paediatric unit features a new short-stay unit, a 34-bed General Paediatric ward, a 12-bed Level 2 neonatal nursery, and extensive outpatient services. This premier health service is deeply committed to delivering high-quality care and fostering professional development, making it an ideal place for paediatric registrars to advance in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Position Details

As a Paediatric Registrar within this team, you will:

• Provide essential care in General Paediatrics, Neonatal Services, and Paediatric Outpatients.
• Engage in a variety of settings, including the short-stay unit, general ward, and neonatal nursery.
• Participate actively in research, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching within a fully accredited paediatric program.
• Work closely with a dedicated consultant team, along with a network of registrars and HMOs providing 24/7 support.

This role is accredited by the RACP for Advanced Training, offering valuable exposure to General Paediatrics with a Perinatal Component, Community/Developmental Paediatrics, and Rural rotations.

Benefits

• Salary: $131,000 - $183,500 per annum, pro rata, with 11% superannuation.
• Additional Perks: Salary packaging options and relocation assistance for a smooth transition.
• Employment Classification: Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11, as per the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.

Requirements

Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:

• Medical Board of Australia Registration: Current general or limited registration.
• Specialty Training Enrollment: Active enrollment in a relevant specialty training program.
• Working with Children Registration: Required for this role.

Desirable Qualifications

• General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Completion of fellowship exams and within one year of obtaining a specialist fellowship.
