Position Details
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will:

• Lead inpatient and outpatient paediatric services, including developmental and neonatal care.
• Collaborate with Clinical Nurse Specialists in Paediatrics to deliver outreach services.
• Supervise and mentor registrars, junior medical officers, and medical students.
• Actively engage in clinical governance and policy development to enhance paediatric healthcare standards.

Remuneration:

• Southern Regions
  • MP Year 1-9: $395,490 to $502,265 p.a. pro rata or $758.13 to $962.82 per session.
• Northern Regions
  • MP Year 1-9: $552,009 to $656,772 p.a. pro rata or $1,058.16 to $1,258.99 per session.

Includes base salary, professional development allowance, and 11.5% employer superannuation.

Benefits
Generous Leave Entitlements

• Long Service Leave: 13 weeks after 10 years.
• Overseas Professional Development Leave: 5 additional weeks after 5 years.
• North West Gratuity Payment: 12 weeks' salary after 3 years (specific locations).

Requirements

• Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, with eligibility for RACP registration.
• Experience: Proven skills in paediatric care, with a special interest in developmental paediatrics preferred.
• Compliance: Current Working with Children Check (WWC), Pre-Employment Health Assessment, and criminal records screening.
